Scientists at the Wuhan Institute of Virology did not have coronavirus in 2019

930493 cv6ftThe official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Zhao Lijian, said that the information that scientists at the Wuhan Institute of Virology had coronavirus in 2019, even before the Chinese authorities announced a new disease, is not true.

He noted that the institute published the information.

The document says that none of the employees had coronavirus until at least March 2021.

"There was not a single case. For this reason, the reports you mentioned about the three cases of infection are not true, " Zhao Lijian explained.

This statement excludes the previously voiced version that the coronavirus could have been created artificially in a Chinese laboratory.

Recall, on May 23, some foreign media reported that three Chinese scientists from the Wuhan Institute of Virology of the People's Republic of China were seriously ill in November 2019. According to US intelligence, the scientists were forced to be treated in a hospital. The fact that the researchers suffered a coronavirus, the media did not report. But it is noted that they had some symptoms that are similar in COVID-19 and seasonal flu.

Earlier "NIA-China" informed that more than 14 million people are vaccinated against COVID-19 in Beijing.
