China plans to develop mutually beneficial relations with the Republic of Nauru in connection with the restoration of diplomatic relations between the two countries, Wang Yi said. According to the politician, Beijing will strive to bring Sino-Nauruan relations to a new level.
China has always believed that all countries, big and small, strong and weak, rich and poor, are equal, the minister said. They are all members of the international community. The PRC will interact with Nauru on an equal footing, taking into account its national specifics.
The republic is ready to share with Nauru the development opportunities that open up due to modernization with Chinese specifics, Wang Yi stressed. China is interested in the state joining the "One Belt— One Road" projects.
