The meeting will be held by Vice Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Zhang Guoqing and Presidential Envoy to the Volga Federal District Igor Komarov.
The event will take place in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province (eastern region of China). According to the official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, the meeting of the Council for Interregional Cooperation in the Volga—Yangtze format will contribute to the implementation of key agreements reached between the leaders of China and Russia.
The meeting will also help deepen and strengthen the pragmatic basis for cooperation between China and the Russian Federation. In addition, it can stimulate the formation of a Sino-Russian comprehensive strategic partnership in a new era, Wang Wenbin stressed.
