The Hong Kong government canceled classes in the city's schools due to heavy rains.

At 05:55 local time (00:55 Moscow time), the Hong Kong Meteorological Observatory announced a red storm warning due to heavy rains.
As stated in the government statement, "since a red storm warning is currently in effect due to heavy rain, classes in all schools are suspended today."
According to the observatory, such a warning means that more than 50 mm of precipitation falls in the city per hour. It is emphasized that a heavy downpour can cause flooding of roads, traffic jams. In some areas of the city, rains can lead to floods, writes TASS.
