He said this on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum during a meeting on the development of Far Eastern cities, which is being held by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
"Of course, we welcome any event events, so we propose to hold the International Winter Games here in 2030 in partnership with China," Kozhemyako said.
Addressing the President, he noted that the decision to hold the APEC summit in 2012 in Vladivostok was an impulse for qualitative changes in the city, an airport, bridges, an oceanarium, a campus, and transport interchanges were built. "Of course, we believe that the implementation of the master plans will give the same second impetus, which will make Vladivostok truly the center of the Asia-Pacific macro region," Kozhemyako said.
The VIII Eastern Economic Forum is being held in Vladivostok on September 10-13, 2023. Its motto is "Towards cooperation, peace and prosperity". The event is organized by the Roscongress Foundation. TASS is the general information partner of the WEF, writes TASS.
