This was reported by Bloomberg with reference to a statement by the US Department of Transportation.
According to him, the intermediate stage in this agreement will be an increase in the number of flights from the current 12 to 18 per week. In the future, 24 flights will be distributed between the three largest American and six Chinese airlines.
The main goal of increasing the number of flights is to maintain a competitive balance and fair and equal opportunities for American and Chinese air carriers, the ministry noted.
In 2020, the American government completely suspended regular passenger flights between the United States and China for airlines from China against the background of the pandemic, but later these restrictions were weakened, writes TASS.
