Russian-Chinese Art Fair to be held in Blagoveshchensk

12The international festival "Russian-Chinese Fair of Culture and Art" will be held in the summer of 2023 in Blagoveshchensk.

This was reported to TASS on Tuesday by the deputy director of the Tourist Information Center of the Amur region, Daria Ulko.
"We have a large number of joint events with China. <...> The Russian-Chinese art fair starts in the summer. This is a major event event where we present our cultural potential," she said on the sidelines of the international tourism exhibition "Intourmarket-2023".
Ulko noted that in May it is also planned to hold an international exhibition-forum "Amurexpoforum" in Blagoveshchensk, which will be held with the support of the Ministry of Regional Development of Russia, the Roscongress Foundation. The key topic is the development of Russian-Chinese cooperation.
"Amurexpoforum" has been held in Blagoveshchensk since 1992. In 2020, it was postponed due to covid, in 2021, the forum was held in the format of a visiting session of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok. The forum included round tables, meetings of Russian and foreign entrepreneurs. In 2022, more than 150 companies from Russia and China became participants of the forum.
In addition, in February 2023, an International Winter Sports Festival was held on the Amur River, where teams from Russia and China took part in the hockey championship and auto racing right on the border of the two states.
The Russian-Chinese Culture and Art Fair is held simultaneously on two banks of the Amur border river in Blagoveshchensk and Heihe, that is, events are organized synchronously in the two states. In 2020, due to the pandemic, the festival was canceled, in 2021 it was partially moved to an online format. In 2022, the opening ceremony of the festival was held in August due to the epidobstavka, and the main events before the opening ceremony were held in an online format, writes TASS.
