President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko arrived on a state visit to China on Tuesday. According to the BelTA news agency, the plane of the head of state landed at the Beijing airport.
The Belarusian leader is expected to hold talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping in a narrow and expanded format. Meetings are planned with senior officials of the People's Republic of China, the leadership of leading Chinese corporations. Following the talks, a large package of documents on the development of relations in key areas will be signed.
As First Deputy Prime Minister Nikolai Snopkov told reporters during the visit, in particular, it is expected that the leaders of Belarus and China will adopt a joint declaration on the directions and mechanisms for the development of the declaration on all-weather and comprehensive strategic partnership signed at the previous meeting in Samarkand. According to him, a whole block of "the most powerful documents will also be signed, which for the next 5-10 years will create a structure of relations" between the two countries, writes TASS.
