Sanya City on Hainan to complete modernization of Nanshan Port by June

The city of Sanya on the southern coast of Hainan Island plans to complete the modernization of the Nanshan port by June, which will eventually be well adapted to service international projects.

According to her, the work is being carried out on the territory of the control zone, the area of which reaches 15.6 thousand sq. m. The purpose of modernization is to prepare the facility for the introduction of new mechanisms of the offshore model of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
In the future, a document verification point for persons arriving in Hainan will operate on the territory of the port of Nanshan, as noted. If during the inspection of goods and vehicles there is a need for a detailed inspection, it is planned to prepare a special platform with modern professional equipment for this.
The modernization of the Nanshan port began in September last year. After completion, it will accept not only cargo ships, but also serve research projects, provide repair services, writes TASS.
