China has overcome the peak incidence of covid

88e9f8f1ecfcc0643a0f3b84b3832722China has successfully overcome the peak incidence of covid and partially returned to the situation that existed before December 7, 2022, when the rapid widespread spread of COVID-19 began in the country.

This was stated on Thursday by the head of the Department of Emergency Medical Care of the State Committee for Hygiene and Health of the People's Republic of China Guo Yanhong.
"In all regions of our country, three peaks associated with an increase in morbidity have been passed. That is, we have passed the peak when the maximum number of patients with high fever applied to the diagnostic and treatment departments of hospitals, the peak of ambulance service calls and the peak of identifying patients with severe symptoms," she said at a press conference.
According to the official, the first peak in China was recorded on December 23, the second - on January 2, the third - on January 5. According to her, as of January 17, the number of infected people who applied to the country's medical and diagnostic departments decreased by 94%, to the level that existed before December 7, when COVID-19 began to spread everywhere in China.
As for ambulance calls and severe cases, according to Guo Yanhong, compared with peak figures, their number has decreased by about 44%.
Beijing at the beginning of December last year optimized anti-covid restrictions, after which the widespread spread of coronavirus was recorded in the country. According to Chinese medical experts, these are weakened strains of COVID-19, so the disease usually proceeds in a gentle form, the probability of death is low. Since January 8, the Chinese authorities have relaxed quarantine measures at the border, writes TASS.
