Zhang Lijun, former deputy head of the Information Department of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, has been appointed deputy head of the Department for Border and Maritime Affairs of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

Hongliang holds the post of head of the Department of Border and Maritime Affairs, his deputies are Zhao Jun, Yang Renho, Wang Jinfeng.
Zhao Ziyang has held the position of deputy head of the Information Department of the Chinese Foreign Ministry since 2019 and was one of the diplomats who held briefings for journalists.
