The trade turnover between Russia and China has grown by a third since the beginning of the year

8The trade turnover between Russia and China in the first three quarters of 2022 increased by 32.5% and amounted to $ 136.089 billion, according to recent data from the General Customs Administration of the People's Republic of China.

China imported $ 52.244 billion worth of goods to Russia during the reporting period, which is 10.3% higher than in the same period of 2021, Russian supplies to China increased by 51.6% over the same time, amounting to $ 83.845 billion.
In September, the level of trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $18.656 billion, Russia imported $10.656 billion worth of goods to China, and China imported $7.99 billion worth of goods to Russia.
By the end of 2021, this figure increased by 35.8% and amounted to a record $ 146.887 billion.
The leaders of Russia and China had previously set the task of doubling the trade turnover between the two countries, bringing it from 100 billion a year to 200 billion by 2024. The 100 billion mark was reached in 2018.
After the talks between Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping, which took place in Beijing on February 4, the press secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that the Chinese leader outlined a new goal to increase trade turnover - 250 billion dollars a year, RIA Novosti writes.
