China intends to support Kazakhstan in protecting its independence and sovereignty

Chinese President Xi Jinping at a meeting in Nur-Sultan with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said that China will resolutely support Kazakhstan in protecting its independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity. This was announced on Wednesday by the press service of the President of Kazakhstan.
"I would like to assure you once again that the Chinese government pays great attention to relations with Kazakhstan. No matter how the international situation changes, we will continue to resolutely support Kazakhstan in protecting independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, firmly support the reforms you are carrying out to ensure stability and development, categorically oppose the interference of any forces in the internal affairs of your country," the press service quotes Xi Jinping.
According to him, China has been and remains a trusted friend and reliable partner of Kazakhstan. "We have brought bilateral relations to the level of eternal comprehensive strategic partnership, which has no analogues in Chinese diplomacy, having achieved their breakthrough development. Today, Kazakh-Chinese relations have reached a new historical start," the Chinese President stressed.
In turn, Tokayev recalled that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and China. "During this short period, we have established strong interstate ties. I sincerely thank you for supporting the economic development of Kazakhstan and our international initiatives," he said, addressing the leader of the People's Republic of China. The President of Kazakhstan stressed that the eternal comprehensive strategic partnership announced during his state visit to Beijing in September 2019 has reached the set trajectory, writes TASS.
