This is reported by a TASS correspondent from the scene.
Despite the rain, the "dog show", which took place on the site in front of the exhibition center, gathered a lot of spectators, especially children. For several minutes, the dogs jumped, got up on their paws, swayed their torso to the beat of the music. Along with synchronous movements, robots moved around the stage, lined up in various geometric shapes and patterns. Each dog was decorated with the symbol of 2022 - a small toy in the form of a tiger.
The robots were developed by the Chinese company Unitree. As the company's founding partner Chen Li told the TASS correspondent, Go1 model dogs - the smallest of the product line - took part in the dance show. The weight of one robot reaches 10 kg, the battery life is about 1.5 hours, the cost is about $ 2.7 thousand.
The World Robotics Conference is held in Beijing from August 18 to 21, the total area of the exhibition reaches 40 thousand square meters. This year, over 130 Chinese and foreign companies will present more than 500 robots, of which 30 models will be presented to the general public for the first time. A forum will be held on the sidelines of the conference, which will be attended by more than 300 specialists and experts from 15 countries and regions of the world, as well as annual robotics competitions, in which more than 4 thousand people will participate. The conference has been held in Beijing since 2015, writes TASS.
