The organizers of the 2nd China International Consumer Goods Exhibition have recruited more than 1.1 thousand volunteers. This was reported by the newspaper "Hainan Zhibao".
According to the newspaper, the city authorities and the organizers are making every effort to successfully hold the event, which will be held from July 26 to 30 in Haikou (the administrative center of the southern Chinese province of Hainan). About 2.2 thousand rooms in 100 hotels were allocated to accommodate guests and participants of the expo. As indicated in the material, in order to improve the image of the city, local authorities organized special courses on improving the quality of service in hotels on the eve of the exhibition.
In addition, the recruitment of volunteers was completed by the end of June, a total of 1,187 people will help at the expo.
The newspaper writes that during the days of the exhibition, a number of events will also be held in Haikou to support the tourism, culture and sports industries of the city. In addition, security measures will be strengthened, the work of public transport will be adjusted.
The China International Consumer Goods Exhibition will be held in Haikou from July 26 to 30. The total area of the exposition will be 100 thousand square meters, 80 thousand of which will be occupied by foreign participants. According to the organizers, about 1.3 thousand brands from 58 countries and regions of the world will be represented at the exhibition. France will be the guest of honor this year.
The first China International Consumer Goods Exhibition was held in Haikou on May 7-10, 2021. It was attended by representatives of 70 countries and regions, over 2.6 thousand premium brands and more than 1.5 thousand companies. The event attracted about 240 thousand visitors. By its scale, it was the largest exhibition of consumer goods in the Asia-Pacific region.
