China will not be able to host the Four Continents Figure Skating Championships-2022 due to a difficult epidemic situation, according to the official website of the International Skating Union, RIA Novosti writes.

The tournament was scheduled to take place from January 17 to 22, 2022 in Tianjin (China). As noted, taking into account the difficult epidemic situation associated with travel restrictions, quarantine requirements, security problems and logistical problems, it was impossible to organize the event in China. "In order to support the event and allow the skaters to compete, the ISU invited interested members to submit applications for the event on the originally scheduled date. Taking into account the received applications, the ISU council will make a decision at the upcoming meeting on October 1, 2021, " the message reads.
