China has published a state action plan in the field of human rights.It defines the goals and objectives related to the respect of these rights, as well as the protection and promotion of their development for the period from 2021 to 2025. This is reported by the Xinhua news Agency.
The document was published by the Press Office of the State Council (Government) of the People's Republic of China. The plan includes sections on economic, social and cultural rights, as well as civil and political and environmental rights, protection of the rights and interests of "specially designated groups", education and research in the field of human rights, participation in global human rights management.
The plan lists a number of goals: the free and comprehensive development of the entire people, a state policy focused on the interests of the people, the preservation of the status of the people as a subject, etc.
The document notes that since 2009, China has formulated and implemented three stages of the human rights action plan. Over the past period, the plan emphasizes, the Chinese people have achieved prosperity and protection of their rights. In addition, policies and legal measures to protect the rights of certain groups of the population have been significantly improved and legislative guarantees of human rights have been strengthened.
