The Russian side held more than 100 cultural events in China in 2004 out of the planned 230, said Tatiana Urzhumtseva, head of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in China and head of the Russian Cultural Center in Beijing.
According to her, cultural events took place within the framework of the Russian-Chinese Years of Culture in 2024-2025. About 130 more events will be held in China this year, Urzhumtseva stressed. The plan is being actively implemented, she noted.
As part of the project, Chinese viewers could attend concerts by prominent Russian musicians, as well as famous opera, ballet, drama and circus productions. In addition, museum and art exhibitions, film weeks and film festivals, forums and flash mobs were held in various cities of China.
