A company from Hangzhou (the administrative center of the eastern Chinese province of Zhejiang) has created a four-legged "robot dog" on wheels. According to the Global Times, he will be able to carry out various missions, including on rough terrain.
The manufacturing company, whose name is not specified, claims that the robot will be able to perform jumps from a height of 2.8 m and carry loads weighing up to 40 kg. It is also characterized by stability and maneuverability and can easily overcome obstacles up to 40 cm high.
The manufacturer claims that the novelty is suitable for patrolling facilities and conducting search and rescue operations. It is assumed that in the near future the development will become widespread and will begin to be applied in various fields.
