Mao Ning called on Canada to stop political manipulation. The diplomat said that the state should stop interfering in China's internal affairs under the pretext of protecting human rights. Earlier, the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced the imposition of sanctions against the Canadian organizations Uyghur Rights Advocacy Project and Canada-Tibet Committee.
The property of companies in Chinese territory will be frozen, and a ban on cooperation with local firms and private entrepreneurs will also be imposed. In addition, employees of Canadian organizations will be barred from entering China.
