According to Reshetov, the First Hospital in Zhengzhou (Henan Province, Central China), the largest in China, and the I. M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University plan to create a center for cooperation in the field of oncoplastic and reconstructive robot-assisted breast surgery.
The project is being implemented as part of the development of scientific and medical cooperation with Chinese colleagues. According to Academician Reshetov, the time has come to combine the efforts of the two countries in this area. This will be a good example of full-fledged, equal cooperation between Russian and Chinese science, he stressed.
The aim of the project is to train motivated specialists from both the Chinese and Russian sides and expand the possibilities of effective treatment of complex patients. The establishment of the Russian-Chinese cooperation center, Reshetov concluded, will be an important step in strengthening ties between China and Russia in the field of oncosurgery.
