Also, according to the Director General of Belarusfilm, actors in China and Belarus have already been selected. The film will be directed by Lei Han. As he said earlier, the plot is built around the events of modern times and the time of the Sino-Japanese War (1937 - 1945). The audience will see the love story of a Belarusian guy and a Chinese girl.
The historical part of the film is intended to emphasize the long-standing mutual assistance of the peoples of China and Belarus, whose soldiers also fought on the Chinese side, the director noted. The film will show the iconic locations of Brest and Minsk to increase their tourist attractiveness.
