АРН

The China International Travel Mart 2024 (CITM) International Tourism Exhibition was held in Shanghai, attended by representatives of the tourism and hospitality sector from more than a hundred countries around the world, as well as 31 provinces of China.

A separate stand at the site under the Discover Russia brand was dedicated to Russia. As part of the delegation of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Tourism Agency, the team of the Norilsk Development Agency (ARN) presented the tourism potential of the region.

As part of the CITM business program, participants of the largest professional event in Asia discussed new travel products and promising forms of tourism, taking into account the latest changes in the international tourism market, and also outlined a common desire for cooperation.

World tourism agents and Chinese partners showed particular interest in Russia's rich tourism potential, which was revealed by representatives of 12 regions of a large country. More than one hundred thousand guests and representatives of the travel industry visited the Russian stand. Krasnoyarsk tourism products were presented at the exhibition by the Tourism Agency of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Norilsk Development Agency, the major operators of the region Panarctic Star and Big Fishing Trip.

"For two days at the exhibition, we held business meetings and presentations of Taimyr routes for major Chinese tour operators interested in cooperation with our region. For us, it was important to understand what potential tourists expect to see in the Arctic, what level of service is needed: from obtaining group visas to the work of qualified translators. We still have many tasks to solve so that in the spring we can receive a group of experts from the tourism industry from China, who will be the first to walk the path of the future tourist," said Angela Tkachenko, head of the ARN Tourism Development department.

On the route of travel through Taimyr, Chinese tourists expect to see the unique nature of the Far North, spend an ethnographically informative day with indigenous small peoples, and also feel the industrial power of Norilsk.

CITM participants shared their experience in organizing tours for guests of different cultures and contacts for cooperation and systematic building of organized tourism from China to the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The Norilsk Development Agency continues to work on the development of winter tourism in Taimyr and the formation of a competitive tourist offer for guests from China, as well as on the organization of conditions for local tour operators to work with a new audience.
