A representative of the Chinese foreign Ministry commented on the information about the alleged presence of the Korean military contingent on the territory of the Russian Federation. According to Lin Jian, Russia and the DPRK are two independent and sovereign states, and the development of bilateral relations is solely the business of these two countries.
The diplomat also noted that China is not aware of the specific situation in bilateral exchanges and cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang. The PRC's position on Ukraine remains unchanged: the republic stands for the early de-escalation and political settlement of existing differences, Lin Jian added.
Earlier, the first secretary of the Permanent Mission of the DPRK to the United Nations, Il Ha Kim, criticized the statements of the United States about the presence of the Korean army on the territory of Russia. He called them dirty maneuvers in order to provoke a prolongation of the Ukrainian crisis.
