The launch of the first joint satellite of China and Russia from the Vostochny cosmodrome will take place on November 5, the press service of the Amur State University reports. It will be sent into space by the Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle.
Work on the device was carried out for several years as part of the implementation of the program of cooperation between China and Russia in the space industry for 2023-2027. The joint satellite of the two countries was designed by students of Harbin Polytechnic University and Amur State University.
AmSU students have created a unique Photon-Amur module for the satellite, which will allow them to study the impact of space factors on the operation of photovoltaic converters. The module consists of a new material, which in the future will make it possible to reduce the cost of satellite production.
