The first joint patrol took place between September 20 and October 10, the DSP reported. The event was attended by ships of the Coast Guard of the People's Republic of China and the Russian Federation.
The international ship group consisted of two patrol ships of the Coast Guard of the People's Republic of China "Meishan" and "Xiushan" and the border patrol ships "Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky" and "Anadyr". They crossed the Sea of Japan and proceeded to the waters of the Bering Sea, followed by access to the Chukchi Sea through the Bering Strait.
The Center for Public Relations of the FSB of Russia noted that Russian and Chinese sailors demonstrated good maritime training and professionalism. The crews of Russian and Chinese deck helicopters also showed high flying skills.
