Hainan authorities have launched a direct helicopter route to neighboring Guangdong Province. Transportation will be carried out by a twin-engine Sikorsky S-76 helicopter, which is capable of transporting up to 12 people at a time, Hainan Zhibao reports.
The flight will be operated from the resort city of Sanya in the southern province of Hainan to the Zhanjiang City District in Guangdong and will take one hour. The first flight was performed on September 29 by China Southern Airlines General Aviation.
As specified in the press service of the carrier, special heliports are used as transport. Passengers who choose this way of traveling will independently make a flight plan to enjoy the sea views.
