All countries should strive for unification, but at the same time we must not forget about preserving differences, the politician stressed. The Defense Minister also said that all countries have their legitimate sovereignty and security interests. The sacred and inviolable fundamental rights on which the survival and development of these countries depend must be fully respected, he noted.
The Xiangshan Forum has been held in Beijing since 2006, organized by the Academy of Military Sciences of the People's Liberation Army of China. This year's event runs from September 12th to 14th. The Forum is dedicated to security cooperation both in the Asia-Pacific region and globally.
