By the end of August, the organizers of the 6th Hainan International Film Festival had received more than three thousand applications. 109 countries and regions of the world want to take part in the event, which will take place in December 2024, according to the organizing committee of the film screening.
The participants of the festival will compete for the main prize "Golden Coconut", the organizers say. The competition program includes several sections: feature films, short films and documentaries. The jury will name the paintings that were included in the competition program in November.
Awards will be presented to the winners in the categories "Best Film", "Best Director", "Best Screenplay", "Best Visual Effects", "Best Actor", "Best Actress" and others. The festival will be held in the resort town of Sanya from December 4 to December 10. It is held with the support of the State Film Administration with the joint participation of the Central Radio and Television of China and the People's Government of Hainan Province.
