According to the ministry, at the end of July, two Chinese associations in charge of issues in the field of dairy production submitted an application requesting this investigation.
The verification will be carried out on the basis of the submitted application, the Ministry of Commerce informs. On August 14, government consultations were held between China and the EU, where this problem was discussed.
The investigation will be conducted for more than a year, until the end of August 2025. If necessary, it can be extended for another six months. The verification will affect Ireland, Italy, Belgium, Austria, Romania, Croatia and the Czech Republic.
