Hundreds of people were evacuated from the subway in Hong Kong on August 7. The reason was white smoke seen under the wagons, the South China Morning Post newspaper writes. The incident happened at Mong Kok East station at 7:45 a.m. local time.

Metro employees noticed white smoke rising from under the cars. Also, according to eyewitnesses, there was a strong smell of burning. The passengers of the train were immediately evacuated, firefighters and police quickly arrived at the scene.
