The troupe from Guangzhou will show "Swan Lake" in Moscow and St. Petersburg

The premiere of the Swan Lake show ballet by the Guangzhou Troupe from China will take place in the capital's Live Arena on September 20-21, as well as from September 26-28 on the new stage of the Mariinsky Theater.

The tour is timed to coincide with the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and China, the organizers' press service reported. "On September 20 and 21, the premiere of the updated version of the grand show ballet Swan Lake (Swan) by the Guangzhou Acrobatic Troupe of China will take place in the capital's Live Arena, as well as from September 26 to 28 on the new stage of the Mariinsky Theater," the message says. The show includes several art forms at once, such as theater, ballet and the Chinese genre of "ballet on shoulders", which is often called "elegant" acrobatics and compared to ballet. The genre originates in China with "Swan Lake" in 2004, which became an innovative production that changed the artistic paradigm. The Guangzhou Acrobatic Troupe of China was founded in 1959. She preserves and at the same time develops Chinese art, combining gymnastics, circus, theater and other types of art in her projects. Among the productions of the troupe are "Golden Stars", "Five Elements", "Glory of the Forbidden City" and other show performances, writes TASS.
