Igor Morgulov spoke at the second plenary meeting of the Council of Old Friends of the Russian-Chinese Friendship, Peace and Development Committee, held at the Diaoyutai Residence in Beijing. He said that Russia and China have managed to build an exemplary model of relations between major powers.
According to him, in the 75 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the countries have managed to overcome many difficulties in bilateral relations. The model of relations between the countries is characterized by deep political trust and extensive practical cooperation, the ambassador believes.
The meeting also announced the release of a collection of memoirs of former and current diplomats of Russia and China. The publication of the book is timed to coincide with the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Russian Federation and China.
