Beijing does not interfere in the elections and internal affairs of the United States, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said at a briefing, commenting on the accusations made against the former head of the White House, Donald Trump.
Beijing hopes for the development of healthy and stable Sino-American relations, regardless of who is elected president of the United States, Mao Ning stressed. She also noted that stable relations between China and the United States meet the common interests of the two countries and their peoples.
On May 30, Donald Trump was found guilty of forgery of financial documents of the Trump Organization company while paying money to former porn actress Stormy Daniels. According to official information, the verdict will be handed down on July 11. The US presidential election will be held on November 5.
