Jinan City, the administrative center of Shandong Province in Eastern China, and the Russian Rostov-on-Don have signed an agreement to promote joint activities in 2024-2026. Several documents on cooperation at the level of companies and organizations of the two countries were also signed.
The event was attended by Vasily Golubev, Governor of the Rostov Region, and Sergey Kramintsev, Counselor-Envoy of the Russian Embassy in China. On the Chinese side, the document was certified by Vice Mayor of Jinan Yang Li, on the Russian side - by the head of the Rostov–on-Don administration Alexey Logvinenko.
Rostov-on-Don actively cooperates with the People's Republic of China and is a sister city of Chinese Yantai, a city on the Yellow Sea coast. Earlier, in March, the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with China was celebrated in the capital of the Southern Federal District of Russia.
