The event took place in the city of Sanya in the southern province of Hainan, the newspaper reported. The provincial authorities attach great importance to international cooperation in the field of education, said Tang Zhenfu, head of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges of the Provincial Department of Education.
Special attention is paid to Russian-Chinese humanitarian exchanges in the educational sphere, Tang Zhenfu stressed. In addition, the authorities support educational institutions in their efforts to join Russian-Chinese associations of specialized universities.
The forum, organized with the support of the Chinese Center for International Humanitarian Exchanges under the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China in cooperation with the Beijing University of International Business and Economics and St. Petersburg State University of Economics, was held at Sanya University. This forum was the second such event. The first one took place in December 2022 in an online format.
