According to the information from the website, negotiations took place between the city of Heihe and the government of the Amur region, where they discussed the organization of the project "Active Longevity on the Amur" in 2024. Within its framework, the countries will exchange delegations consisting of older people.
The parties will provide cultural and tourist programs of stay for the participants of the program. The exchange of delegations between China and Russia was practiced from 2016 to 2018, later the project was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In the third quarter of 2024, the countries plan to resume activities within the framework of the project. Due to the fact that this year has been declared the Year of the Family in Russia, the exchange participants will mainly be elderly married couples over the age of 60 who have been married for many years and are active and creative people.
