The conversation about Ukraine took place during a meeting between China's Special Representative for Eurasian Affairs Li Hui and Chairman of the European Council on Foreign Policy Simon Mordue.
The parties discussed the situation that has developed during the Ukrainian crisis. In addition, the issue of advancing peace talks was raised. Li Hui said that the Chinese authorities strongly protest the recent imposition of unilateral EU sanctions against several Chinese companies for their cooperation with Russia.
