The central theme of the exhibition was innovation and development. According to Sun Cheng hai, more than 440 exhibitors presented their goods, services and technologies. This year, 298 of the world's largest companies out of 500 took part in CIIE.
The exhibition returned to the plank-like indicators, because for the first time in three years it was held without umbrella-like restrictions. The industrial potential of Russia was widely represented at the event. Kazakhstan, Serbia, South Africa, Honduras and Vietnam were also honored guests of CIIE.
