China is ready to strengthen cooperation with the United States and other countries to protect large pandas and other endangered species, Wang Wenbin said. He recalled that there are currently four pandas in the Atlanta Zoo.

Pandas from the Atlanta Zoo will return to China by the end of 2024, after the expiration of the lease period of the animals. There is a possibility that the countries will extend the lease agreement. Otherwise, there will be no more bamboo bears left in the USA.
