The meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping took place on October 18 on the sidelines of the One Belt, One Road forum. The leaders talked in an expanded format, with the participation of representative delegations, and in a narrow format — in the format of a working breakfast. Then they talked one-on-one.
According to Mao Ning, the talks between Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping were frank, friendly and deep. The parties discussed international cooperation and joint implementation of the "One Belt— One Road" initiative.
The leaders of the countries will continue to develop cooperation, as well as continue to strengthen coordination within multilateral structures such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the United Nations and the Group of Twenty.
