The trade turnover between Belarus and China has increased by 97% since the beginning of the year

The volume of trade between Belarus and China has grown by 97% year-on-year since the beginning of 2023.

This was announced by the Chinese Ambassador in Minsk Xie Xiaoyun.
"From January to August of this year, the trade turnover between China and Belarus reached $5.83 billion, an annual increase of about 97%. In particular, the volume of imports from Belarus to China amounted to $1.99 billion, an increase of more than 65%, and the volume of exports from China to Belarus - $3.85 billion, an increase of almost 119%," BelTA quotes the diplomat as saying.
At the end of July, Belarusian Economy Minister Alexander Chervyakov said that Minsk expects to increase exports to China to $2.2 billion by the end of the year. According to the Ministry of Economy of the Republic, by the end of 2022, the trade turnover with China, which is the second trading partner for Belarus after Russia, amounted to about $5.8 billion. At the same time, exports grew 1.8 times year-on-year and reached $1.6 billion, writes TASS.
