The International Forum of Young Talents was held in Hainan

The event was attended by representatives of Cambridge University, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Macau University of Science and Technology, Hainan University and other educational institutions. In addition, the forum was attended by representatives of the Association of Graduates of European and American Higher Education Institutions, the Hainan Association of Graduates of the University of Science and Technology of Macau and other organizations.
According to the newspaper, the purpose of the forum was to attract young talents from leading foreign universities, youth representatives, activists and professionals from Hong Kong and Macau to get acquainted with the Hainan Free Trade Port and participate in its construction, as well as to develop a personnel reserve of highly qualified employees of the free trade port and improve the international image of the port.
Hainan Zhibao notes that a series of presentations of the potential of the free trade port was held on the sidelines of the forum. Thus, the Department of International Economic Development of Hainan Province, the administration of the Yazhou Bay Science City in Sanya, Hainan University, as well as the Department for Investment Promotion in the Yangpu Economic Development Zone spoke about industry, trade, education and other areas.
According to Chen Qingkai, a participant of the forum, Doctor of Sciences, chairman of the Association of Chinese Students and Scientists of Cambridge University, quoted by the newspaper, the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port is an important milestone of China's economic openness and comprehensive deepening of reforms in the new era. He stressed that there are great development prospects behind this, which require the participation and efforts of the younger generation.
The article also says that following the results of the forum, the Youth Center for Innovative Entrepreneurship of Hong Kong and Macau in Hainan signed cooperation agreements with the Association of Chinese Students and Scientists of Cambridge University, as well as with the Hainan Association of Graduates of the University of Science and Technology of Macau, writes TASS.
