14a27240ac5ac56edff6413f15b3c979The Russian-Chinese trade turnover in the first six months of 2023 exceeded $90 billion, Chinese Ambassador to Russia Zhang Hanhui said at a session at the Innoprom-2023 exhibition.

"In the first half of this year, the volume of bilateral trade exceeded $90 billion with an increase of 20% compared to the same period last year. This laid a good foundation for the implementation of the goal put forward by the heads of the two states to reach an annual trade volume of $200 billion," he said.
The Ambassador also noted the role of energy cooperation between the countries. "Russia is the main source of imports of coal, crude oil and gas to China. Since the beginning of this year, there has been a good trend towards an increase in energy exports to China. In addition, such projects as Yamal LNG are being successfully implemented," the diplomat added.
"There are good prospects for cooperation in agriculture," the Ambassador continued. - The range of trade in agricultural and by-products is constantly expanding. In the first five months, the value of imports of agricultural products to China from Russia increased by 84%."
As the trade representative of the Russian Federation in China Alexey Dahnovsky clarified at the Innoprom session, the trade turnover for the period from January to May has already reached $94 billion. He stressed that Russia and China have every opportunity to overcome the $200 billion trade turnover bar "ahead of schedule, without waiting for the end of the year," writes TASS.
