Rosselkhoznadzor is studying the possibility of supplying Russian pork to China

Rosselkhoznadzor and the Main Customs Administration (GTU) China is exploring the possibility of supplying Russian pork to China.

This was reported by the agency following the discussion of representatives of the Rosselkhoznadzor with the Main Customs Administration of the People's Republic of China on the fight against African swine fever in Russia and China.
"The joint work carried out by the Rosselkhoznadzor and the GTU of the People's Republic of China will allow assessing the risks associated with possible pork supplies from Russia to China, as well as developing an effective mechanism for ensuring epizootic safety in the trade of this type of product," the ministry said in a statement.
In addition, representatives of the Rosselkhoznadzor and the Federal Center for Animal Health Protection spoke about the system of compartmentalization (increasing the level of protection of enterprises) of pig farms adopted in Russia to counter the spread of dangerous animal diseases (in particular, African swine fever), and also received information from the State Technical University of the People's Republic of China on the Chinese system of compartmentalization and monitoring of ASF, writes TASS".
