"We will implement all scientific developments in the field of energy that will benefit our region, the country and the whole world. In order to achieve the best results in the development of advanced technologies, we are ready to unite with scientists from different countries," Governor Sergey Tsivilev said during the ceremony.
In an interview with a TASS correspondent, he clarified that the government of the region is purposefully engaged in determining the main vectors of work for industries and the formation of the regional environmental agenda, in which such events help. "Holding such a large-scale event will enrich all its participants. Its result will be a process of exchange of experience, the formation of new ideas and opinions in the scientific community on the topic of the forum," the agency interlocutor is convinced.
The president of the Global Energy Association, Sergey Brilev, in turn, told TASS that a record was set for the award by the number of countries from which applications came. "48 countries have submitted applications, this has never happened. Three years ago I was 12. However, the organization of the forum in Kuzbass has created a "problem" for us - it will be difficult to repeat such a format," Brilev said.
The Global Energy Association has been presenting the International Energy Prize annually since 2003. During its existence, scientists from Australia, Austria, Great Britain, Greece, Denmark, Iceland, Italy, Canada, Russia, USA, Ukraine, France, Switzerland, Sweden and Japan have become laureates. The laureates are determined by a vote of the international committee. The prize fund is 39 million rubles, writes TASS.
