The Congress of the Communist Youth Union of China has opened in Beijing

The forum is attended by over 1,500 delegates from 73 million members of the KSMK, according to the website of the congress.

The opening of the congress was attended by the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Chinese President Xi Jinping and other Chinese leaders.
At the congress, which will last until June 22, it is planned to discuss the tasks of working with the youth of the country, to hold elections of the Central Committee of the KSMK of a new convocation, to amend the charter of the organization.
KSMK, which celebrated its centenary in 2022, is one of the mass organizations of China operating under the leadership of the ruling Communist Party of China. In turn, the Chinese Komsomol directs the work of the country's pioneer organization, writes TASS.
