China to increase investment in water supply

According to him, local authorities will have to consider investments in the construction of water supply networks as a priority and ensure the reliable implementation of relevant projects.
China will attract investors of all categories to participate in the construction of this network, especially private sector investors, Zhao Chenxin added.
China recently published a plan for the construction of a national water supply network for the period 2021-2035 as part of the country's efforts to strengthen water security capacity.
The document sets many long-term goals, including the formation of a national water supply network, the creation of water supply networks at the provincial, city and county levels, as well as promoting the creation of a national water security system that meets the requirements of the implementation of socialist modernization, Xinhua News writes.
