Mainland China restores air service with Taiwan

317825Direct flights between Taiwan and Fuzhou will resume on May 22 after being suspended for more than three years due to the pandemic.

This is reported on its website on Friday by the Fuzhou municipal authorities.
Flights between Fuzhou, the administrative center of Fujian Province in southeastern China, and Taipei will resume on May 22. On June 2, flights between Fuzhou and the economic center of Taiwan - Kaohsiung City will be resumed, the report says.
Direct flights through the Taiwan Strait opened in 2008. A total of 31 thousand flights were carried out between Taiwan and Fuzhou, 3.4 million passengers were transported.
Flights from mainland China will be operated by Xiamen Airlines, writes TASS.
