Haikou and Paris resumed air cargo transportation

The administrative center of the southern Chinese province of Hainan, the city of Haikou and Paris have resumed air cargo transportation, which was suspended due to anti-weed restrictions.

The first flight was completed on May 15. The HU749 with 33.6 tons of cargo at 06:05 (01:05 Moscow time) took off from Meilan Airport to Paris Vatri Airport. The launch of this route means the resumption of air cargo transportation between cities.
The flights will be operated by Hainan Airlines on Boeing 789 cargo boards. For export from Haikou, mainly consumer goods, as well as e-commerce products will be transported. These flights will import duty-free goods. Flights on this route will be operated every Monday and Wednesday.
Thus, since the beginning of this year, the city of Haikou has already opened or resumed three international air cargo routes. We are talking about flights to Incheon, Singapore and Paris. By May 14, since the beginning of the year, Meilan Airport had handled a total of 166 international cargo flights, and the volume of traffic exceeded 2.16 thousand tons, which is 77% more than in the same period last year, writes TASS.
